The Inconsistency of Me

Inconsistency of Me

Tying the blindfolds around my eyes
Asking why I can't see.
Yell myself hoarse
and ask why I can't hear You.
Asking You to provide the very things I will
use to replace You.

Love You
yet deny, mock, and lie to You.
Seeking honesty and loyalty from friends,
but can't give it to my Creator.
And when I see these inconsistencies and failures...
I think I can feel the disappointment in Your eyes.

And yet,
You smile down at me.
You want good for me.
You don't make lines just to watch me fall and cross them.
You give me directions to a life better than anything I can imagine.
What can I say?

Thank You.
